Fall is here!
We welcome the cooler weather and ask that you check on your child’s extra set of clothing for suitability of changes in the weather.
Halloween is just around the corner, we will have a daytime celebration. Your pre k/toddler/infant child may dress up accordingly. We will be playing some games and having a great time! Expect post candy reactions!!!
I was recently approached by U. of H. to use our facility and children in a study on "How Children Learn". A small table will be set up soon by them to sign up children to participate, ask for consent etc.
I have also been contacted by the Woodmen of The World who would like to come and conduct DNA profiles for your child/ren-free. More information when I recieve it.
I apologize to parents of our new transitional room. Ms. Brenda is no longer employed here. Some parents of children in her room, other staff and I were having problems with her work ethic and DAP (developmentally appropriate practices). She refused corrective counselling and departed on Friday, shortly after arriving. I shall be working in there in the interim.
We recently had a staff training/meeting and I discussed the possibility of becoming accredited by N.A.E.Y.C (National Association Education Young Children). I will be sending for the new criteria manual and we will begin the long journey soon.
I was to have met with Ms. Pope last week but our wires were crossed. Ms. Pope is a kindergarten teacher at Huggins. I hope to discuss with her any issues the kindergarten department may be having in relation to readiness for school so that we can better prepare your child for the next step in Education.
We thank you for supporting our book fair and hope that you and your child enjoy the books you purchased.
Enjoy the season!
